BUD - Pigeon House Mountain
Who: Jack, Bimble and Graham.
Monday
A pubic holiday weekend, and finally we decided to take the trip to Pigeon House mountain.
The track is pretty well marked, starting at the main car park the track leads up the hill along a rather steep section. After about a kilometre, the track levels out for a while before hitting the final steep section.
Getting to the summit is via a series of metal ladders. Unfortunately, on this trip, Jack and I were unable to make it all the way to the top! We stopped when we hit the vertical ladder as it was just a little steep for both of us.
After a nice lunch under a rock overhang, we headed back down the mountain to the car park.
And no trip to the Budawangs would be complete without a stop off at The Rainbow Pie shop for a snack before the long weekend drive home.
